Case Study of Tunnel Lighting Project in Rui'an Section, Zhejiang Province
The total length of the route is 44 kilometers. In 2016, the tunnel underwent renovation and lighting. The tunnel has been in operation for nearly 10 years, and high-pressure sodium lamps are used as the lighting source. The operating electricity cost is high, and some lighting fixtures inside the tunnel have been damaged with severe light decay, which affects driving safety and poses significant hidden dangers. This renovation uses HID xenon lamps to replace the original high-pressure sodium lamps. It has been proven that high-pressure xenon lamps have rich light colors, which are in line with human visual perception and are not easy to cause visual fatigue. They greatly improve the quality of people's production, life, and entertainment activities, and can effectively enhance the lighting effect at night in cities, thereby improving safety factors and providing high-quality lighting for people in the dark.
