Case Study of Longquan Road West Section Lighting Project in Zhangqiu City, Jinan City

In July 2015, the western section of Longquan Road in Zhangqiu City, Jinan, purchased 300 high-pressure xenon lamps for a new road lighting project. After testing, xenon lamps have strong luminous efficiency and excellent color rendering, which can create more favorable nighttime travel conditions. They are also sensitive to road safety monitoring systems, and there is no color difference within the illumination range, which can make the blind spots that traditional street lamps cannot present clearly visible. From this, it can be seen that xenon street lamps can not only significantly reduce the burden on public power systems, but their unique characteristics, such as strong light penetration and superior color reproduction ability, also ensure their advantages as emerging energy-saving road lighting sources.
